FISH ON! Catch Flags were created to better identify caught fish from far away and to look even better up close. Outdated catch flags are indistinguishable from afar and blurred. Recreational fishermen and charter clients prefer our updated look compared to the old silk screen versions. The lettering provides for proper identification and looks great framed on the office wall or from the boat deck.

Catch Flag Etiquette
Catch Flags are flown by top anglers worldwide to signify species caught and properly released. For high quality gamefish like Sailfish and Marlin, it is custom to fly one flag per properly released fish. For species in which multiple catch is generally expected, like Dolphin/Dorado, a single flag should be flown.
There is no set standard rules for how to display catch flags. However, today it is general practice to fly a catch flag right side up for a properly released game fish. If you intentionally or accidentally kill a game fish for meat, fly the flag upside down to emulate a dead fish.
Local customs vary but in general flags can be flown for a 24 hour period.
